Newly appointed Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Benoît-Pierre Laraméeextolled the progress made by Bangladesh in improving working conditions in RMG sector.
Hemade the remark while paying a courtesy call on BGMEA leaders at BGMEA office on March 23.
In a press briefing after the meeting, BGMEA President Md. Atiqul Islam said Bangladesh has witnessed an impressive growth in RMG exports to Canadian market in recent years. He expressed the hope that RMG exports from Bangladesh to Canada will increase more in the coming years.
The BGMEA President thanked the Canadian government for granting Bangladesh duty-free and quota-free market access to Canada.
BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Reaz Bin Mahmood, former President Md. Shafiul Islam, former Second Vice President Siddiqur Rahman,former Vice President Faruque Hassanand Director Md. MoshiulAzam (Shajal), among others, were present at the media briefing.
