Unending is the delight and limitless is the pride for us as a nation which rises from a ‘basket case’ to a ‘development surprise’ in an eventful journey of 50 years. The year 2021 marks the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence which we achieved in 1971 under the great leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Bangabandhu is not only the architect of the independent Bangladesh, he also envisioned building a prosperous country with economic emancipation and social justice for its people. The year is also historic for the nation as Bangladesh has qualified to graduate into a developing nation from a Least Developed Country (LDC) under the visionary and prudent leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. While the achievement makes us intensely proud and brings immense joy, it also inspires us to dream bigger. The RMG industry has has been making immense contribution to the socio-economic transformation of Bangladesh. BGMEA celebrates the glorious 50 years of Bangladesh.
