A meeting took place between the president of BGMEA, Dr. Rubana Huq, and European Union (EU) delegates.

One of the core points of discussion included ways to strengthen EU-BD partnership followed by the developmental progress of Bangladesh towards becoming a middle-income country. 

The meeting took place at Rubana Huq’s residence and was followed by dinner.

Participants included officials of European Union, Bangladesh's Foreign Ministry and Commerce Ministry.

Commerce Minister Mr. Tipu Munshi, MP, Honorable Minister for foreign affairs, Md. Abdul Momen,  Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations, Md. Shahriar Alam, Rensje Teerink, Head of EU Delegation to Bangladesh, Charlotta Schlyter, Swedish Ambassador to Bangladesh, Winnie Estrup Petersen, ambassador of Denmark to Bangladesh, Peter Fahrenholtz, ambassador of Germany to Bangladesh, among others, were present in the meeting.
