On the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (SAW), a Milad and Dua Mahfil was organized by the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Chattogram region, praying for the eternal peace and salvation of the departed souls of workers, employees and owners of the RMG industry.
The Mahfil was held on October 1 at the BGMEA building. The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Kazi Shafiqul Islam Titu, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Religious Affairs of BGMEA Chattogram region.
Speaking at the event, BGMEA Director and former First Vice President Mohammed Abdus Salam said that the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) serve as an example for all humanity. His teachings inspire us to uphold justice, honesty, humanity and a sense of mutual responsibility.
He said that the RMG industry has been playing an important role in the country’s economy and employment generation. Workers, employees and owners have all contributed to the progress of this industry. Remembering with respect those who are no longer among us is our moral responsibility. He prayed for the eternal peace and salvation of their departed souls and wished a speedy recovery for all those who are ill.
BGMEA Chattogram region Vice President Mohammad Rafique Chowdhury said that through his life and teachings, the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught humanity the values of peace, justice, compassion and well-being. By following his ideals, it is possible to establish mutual respect, harmony and human values in our personal lives, society and workplaces. On this holy occasion, we pray for the eternal peace and salvation of the departed souls of workers, employees and respected owners of the RMG industry. May Almighty Allah forgive their shortcomings and grant them Jannatul Ferdous.
BGMEA Director Md. Shaif Ullah Mansur delivered a discussion on the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) at the Mahfil.
Among others, BGMEA Directors Sakeef Ahmed Salam and Enamul Aziz Chowdhury, former Directors Khondoker Belayet Hossain and Mohammed Atiq, Co-Chairman of the Standing Committee on Religious Affairs Wadud Mohammad Chowdhury, along with a large number of RMG industry owners and BGMEA officials, were present.
A special prayer and Munajat were offered seeking the continued prosperity of the country, its people and the RMG industry, as well as the well-being of everyone associated with the industry. Prayers were also offered for the eternal peace and salvation of the departed souls of RMG workers, employees and owners and for the speedy recovery of those who are ill. All those present took part in the prayer and Munajat.
