Planning Commission and UNDP have organized the unveiling of inception report on RMG Supply Chain Resilience.

Planning Minister MA Mannan was present as Chief Guest, BGMEA President Dr Rubana Huq was there as Special Guest, while BGMEA Director Asif Ibrahim was present as well.

Dr. Rubana Huq emphasized the need to bring into the discussion "economic resilience" taking into consideration the challenges the sector is facing.

She also highlighted the importance of following the national safety standards instead of prescribed formulas from foreign consultants.

Director Asif Ibrahim mentioned that the sector has "built-in resilience" capability developed from years of facing different set of challenges and overcoming them.
