Today Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das met BGMEA President Dr. Rubana Huq at BGMEA office.
They had discussion on how to enhance bilateral trade between Bangladesh and India.
The Indian High Commissioner said Bangladesh’s RMG export to India is increasing due to duty-free access to the neighboring market.
The BGMEA President said India is a promising market for Bangladesh’s RMG sector. On the other hand, India exports raw materials, including fabrics to Bangladesh. So, both countries have business opportunities and will need to work together in order to reap the mutual trade benefits.
Deputy Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Mr Bishwadip Dey, BGMEA Senior Vice President Faisal Samad, Vice President Md. Moshiul Azam (Shajal) and Directors were present on the occasion
