Logo of Asian Men?s Central Zone Volleyball unveiled

The logo of the DBBL Asian Senior Men’s Central Zone Volleyball Championship 2015 was ceremonially unveiled on Monday at a function at the Dutch-Bangla Auditorium of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) in the city.
Eight countries—Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan—will take part in the first-ever international volleyball meet of its kind to be held in the country from May 23-28 at the Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium in Mirpur.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, who is also the Chairman of Tournament’s Organising Committee, graced the ceremony as chief guest and later he unveiled the logo of the eight-nation tournament through a gala magical show performed by magician Ali Raj.
State Minister for Youth and Sports BirenSikder, Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy, BOA Secretary General Syed Shaheed Reza, Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) President Md. Atiqul Islam, who is also the President of BGMEA, Managing Director of meet’s sponsor DBBL KH Tabarej, BVF Senior Vice-President AH Aslam Sunny and BVF General Secretary Ashiqur Rahman Miku also spoke on the occasion.
Massive earthquake-hit Nepalese Volleyball team will arrive in Dhaka seven days ahead of the meet start for taking their preparation in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, a strong 101-member Organising Committee, headed by Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, was formed for the smooth running of the tournament. Another 15 sub-committees were also formed for the meet.
