On May 31, the BGMEA election for the 2025-27 terms was completed. Following this, on Saturday, June 14, a new office bearer election was held at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara for the 2025-27 terms.

Eight candidates submitted nominations for eight office bearer positions, which were verified by the election board. The final list was then published.

Since no party filed any appeal against the final list, the election board officially declared the nominated candidates elected to the office bearer positions. The results were announced by the Chairman of the BGMEA Election Board, former Chairman of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC), Mohammad Iqbal. He was accompanied by election board members Syed Afzal Hasan Uddin and Ashraf Ahmed.

Mahmud Hasan Khan was elected as President in the office bearer election. The other elected office bearers include First Vice President Salim Rahman, Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Khan, Vice Presidents Md. Rezwan Selim, (Finance) Mizanur Rahman, Vidiya Amrit Khan, Md. Shehab Udduza Chowdhury, and Mohammad Rafique Chowdhury.

BGMEA Administrator Md. Anwar Hossain extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected office bearers and directors, and expressed sincere thanks and gratitude to all members of the BGMEA Election and Appeal Boards. It is noted that the new committee will assume office at the handover ceremony scheduled for June 16, 2025, at the BGMEA Complex.
