Dr. Henry Soo, Chief Consultant and Strategic Partner at Garmenttech BD, met with Sharif Zahir, a Member of the BGMEA Support Committee, at the BGMEA Complex in Dhaka on November 30. 

The discussions in the meeting focused on trade opportunities, potential collaboration in supply chain training, and Chinese investment in the backward linkage industries, including lace fabrics, cup molding, and elastic rubber.

During the meeting, Sharif Zahir emphasized the need for establishing local factories in Bangladesh to manufacture lace fabrics, which are currently imported from China. He also stressed the importance of fostering collaborations to improve the design and product development skills of Bangladeshi students, particularly through strategic partnerships with institutions in China and Hong Kong.
