On December 02, 2025, world-renowned Polish apparel brand LPP S.A. expressed strong interest in significantly increasing its apparel sourcing from Bangladesh. The brand’s Procurement Director, Joanna Sikorska, conveyed this interest during a meeting with BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan today.
The meeting was held at the BGMEA office in Uttara, where Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Khan, Vice President (Finance) Mijanur Rahman, Director Shah Rayeed Chowdhury, Director Md. Hasib Uddin, Director Nafis-Ud-Doula, and Director Joarder Mohammed Hosne Quamar Alam joined the discussion on behalf of BGMEA.
During the meeting, LPP S.A. clearly stated that they are keen to work closely with BGMEA to increase sourcing from Bangladesh, especially for products such as outerwear, heavy knits, men’s underwear, and joggers.
The discussion emphasized establishing long-term partnerships, ensuring stability and transparency in the supply chain, and enhancing the capacity of Bangladesh’s apparel sector. Both sides also discussed creating opportunities for direct exports by including small and medium factories (SMEs) under the RSC.
It is noteworthy that LPP S.A. currently sources apparel worth USD 770 million annually from Bangladesh.
LPP S.A.’s Procurement Director Joanna Sikorska said, “Bangladesh is an extremely important sourcing hub for us. We are eager to further strengthen our business foundation here and will continue working to maintain stability in our supply chain.”
