On Monday (30 March 2026), the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) organized a doa mahfil and remembrance meeting seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of its former Director and Managing Director of Beau Monde Garments Ltd., the late Syed Ahasanul Hoque Shamim. The event was arranged by BGMEA Chattogram Region at the Mahbub Ali Hall of the BGMEA Complex.

At the program, BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan fondly recalled the memories of the late Syed Ahasanul Hoque Shamim and offered prayers for him.

The remembrance meeting, moderated by BGMEA Director Md. Shaif Ullah, featured reflections on the late leader’s dynamic life and contributions by BGMEA First Vice President Salim Rahman, Vice President Mohammad Rafique Chowdhury, Directors Mohammed Abdus Salam, Dr. Rashid Ahamed Hossaini, Majumdar Arifur Rahman, Md. M. Mohiuddin Chowdhury, and S.M. Abu Tayyab, former First Vice President Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, former Director Helal Uddin Chowdhury, Ashiq Bhuiyan, and the eldest son of the deceased, Syed Asir Haque.

Among others present were Directors Syed Mohammed Tanvir, Sakeef Ahmed Salam, and Rakibul Alam Chowdhury, former Vice Presidents Mohammad Ferdous and A.M. Chowdhury Selim, former Directors, Co-Chairman of the Standing Committee on Religious Affairs Wadud Mohammed Chowdhury, along with a large number of garment industry owners from the Chattogram region, family members of the deceased, and BGMEA officials and staff.
