With the aim of facilitating access to international-standard healthcare services at Mount Elizabeth Hospital for BGMEA members and their families, a Privilege Card was officially launched by BGMEA, Mount Elizabeth Hospital Singapore, and IHH Healthcare at a ceremony held at Hotel Westin in Dhaka on 17 May 2026.
The launch follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BGMEA and Mount Elizabeth Hospital Singapore on 10 December 2025 at the BGMEA Complex in Dhaka.
During the ceremony, Yong Yih Ming, CEO of Mount Elizabeth Hospital Singapore, along with Zahid Hasan Khan, Director of Mount Elizabeth Hospital Singapore, Bangladesh Office, formally handed over the Privilege Card to Shah Rayeed Chowdhury, Director of BGMEA.
Among others present at the event were Joarder Mohammed Hosne Quamar Alam, Director of BGMEA; Jabed Hossain Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Skill Development Program (SDP); and Mayeesha Mahmud, Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Traceability and Digital Product Passport (DPP).
Speaking on the occasion, Shah Rayeed Chowdhury said the MoU and the launch of the Privilege Card reflect BGMEA’s continued commitment to enhancing the welfare and well-being of its members. He expressed hope that the initiative would ensure easier access to world-class healthcare services for BGMEA members and their families.
Yong Yih Ming, CEO of Mount Elizabeth Hospital Singapore, underscored the importance of the partnership between BGMEA and Mount Elizabeth Hospital, noting that the collaboration would enable BGMEA members and their families to access high-quality healthcare services in Singapore with greater ease and convenience.
