BGMEA President Dr Rubana Huq on Friday held a meeting with the representatives of a number of European brands, which import garments from Bangladesh.

Ethical Trade Initiative (ETI) organized the meeting.

At the meeting, the BGMEA President briefed the brands on RMG Sustainability Council.

Representatives from around 15 brands including C&A, ASOS, Primark, Next attended the meeting. Many other brands participated the meeting virtually.

Accord Steering Committee members Jenny Holdcroft from IndustriALL and Ted Southall from LC Waikiki were also present there.

After the meeting, ETI Executive Director Peter McAllister hosted the BGMEA delegation and the brand representatives in Birmingham.
