Seminar on enhancing efficiency held at BGMEA

A seminar on ‘Sustainable CEBAI and Enhancing Efficiency through Enterprise Based Training (EBT) Model’ was held at the Apparel Club in BGMEA on 18 August.
BGMEA in association with SIDA, H&M, ILO RMG Centre of Excellent Project and the Center of Excellence for Bangladesh Apparel Industry (CEBAI) organized the seminar which was split into two panel discussions.
In the first panel discussion speakers shared their experience and knowledge on skills development and EBT concept.


Mohammed Nasir, Vice President (Finance), BGMEA; Hasan Mahmud, Executive Director, Bitopi Group; Debasish Shaha, Executive Director, Fakir Apparels; and Suresh Mahto, Deputy Team Leader, Sudokhkho attended the first discussion as distinguished panelists while AKM Shahiduzzaman, Project Director, RMG Centre of Excellence, ILO moderated the discussion.
The topic of the second discussion was sustainable journey of CEBAI where distinguished panelists underscored the importance of CEBAI in enhancing the skills of workforce and creating new skilled manpower for the RMG industry of Bangladesh.


Md. Atiqul Islam, President, CEBAI and former President, BGMEA; Faruque Hassan, Vice President, CEBAI and Senior Vice President, BGMEA; Derya Ural, Project Manager, Sustainability, H&M; Professor Ferhat Anwar, Adviser, CEBAI; Mokhlesur Rahman, Senior Operations Officer (Education Global Practice), World Bannk; and Dr. Chwodhury Saima Ferdous, Associate Professor, the Department of International Relations, Dhaka University took part in the second session as panel discussants. 
 Md. Shafiul Islam, First Vice President of FBCCI, Senior Vice President, CEBAI and also former President of BGMEA, moderated the second session.
