A special prayer gathering was organized today, 30 November 2025, at the BGMEA office in Uttara, seeking the swift recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia — the three-time former Prime Minister and Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan; former President Kazi Moniruzzaman; Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Khan; Vice President Md. Rezwan Selim; Vice President (Finance) Mijanur Rahman; Vice President Md. Shehab Udduza Chowdhury; Director Majumdar Arifur Rahman; Director Sheikh Hossain Muhammad Mustafiz; Director Kazi Mizanur Rahman; Director Asef Kamal Pasha; Director Dr. Rashid Ahamed Hossaini; former Director Ashiqur Rahman (Tuhin); former Director Shovon Islam; and BGMEA Standing Committee Chairmen, Co-Chairmen, and general members participated in the prayer gathering.

The event began with brief remarks from BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan, former President Kazi Moniruzzaman, and BGMEA Director Dr. Rashid Ahamed Hossaini. They respectfully recalled the extraordinary and uncompromising contributions of Begum Khaleda Zia to the establishment of democracy in the country and her long political journey.

A special collective prayer was offered for the good health and quick recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia, conducted by BGMEA Director Dr. Rashid Ahamed Hossaini.

It is worth mentioning that today (30 November) is also the death anniversary of Annisul Huq, former BGMEA President and former popular Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation. A special prayer was also offered for the forgiveness of his departed soul.
