BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman said that Remediation Coordination Cell (RCC) will play a vital role as an effective, credible and permanent national platform for ensuring safety compliance of the RMG factories.
He made the remark while addressing a workshop organized by the Ministry of Labour and Employment to share progress in capacity building of Remediation Coordination Cell (RCC).
Honorable Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, MP, attended the program as chief guest.
Honorable State Minister for Labour and Employment Md. Mujibul Haque, MP chaired the workshop held at a city hotel on 17 July.
Director of BGMEA ANM Saifuddin was also present at the program.
Remediation Coordination Cell (RCC) has been established by the Government of Bangladesh with support from ILO to function as a self-sufficient national authority to monitor and maintain safety standards in the apparel industry.
