A high level meeting was hosted at the Biddut Bhaban in Dhaka on Saturday, September 14 where industry and government stakeholders discussed about electricity and gas supply in related industries.

The Problem Solving Session by the top brass analyzed issues regarding uninterrupted electricity and gas supply, alongside discussing the rising prices of power supply.

Strategic directions for the future were also decided in the meeting, which identified that inadequate transmission lines and frequent power cuts in major industrial zones like Savar, Gazipur, Narayanganj and Chattogram have to be checked.

One behalf of the BGMEA, its Senior Vice President Faisal Samad and Director Asif Ibrahim attended the session.

Prime Minister’s Energy Adviser, State Minister, NBR Chairman, BIDA Executive Chairman, Senior Secretaries of the ministry, former BGMEA president Kutubuddin Ahmed, BTMA president among others were present in the meeting.
